About On The Wards
On The Wards (OTW) is a medical blog devoted to a diverse array of topics related to medicine and health care. The motivation of this project primarily stems from a professional interest in academic medicine. I have no elaborate mission statements or defined [learning] objectives for this forum–at least, not yet. I nonetheless hope to use this blog as a medium for educational enrichment, as I feature clinical tidbits, study results, HIPAA-compliant anecdotes, and pertinent commentaries.
OTW is privately funded by myself and I have no commercial affiliation with any sponsors that may appear in this blog. Please read the disclaimer for more legal mumbo-jumbo.
OTW was born on January 8, 2006 on Blogger.com after much initial resistance from me to partake in the blogging fad. I later transferred to the current server (Blogsome.com) on January 14 to take advantage of the Wordpress engine.
